For our office White Elephant gift exchange back at Christmas, my friend Lisa got this Cuisinart Sandwich Maker.

And it's been sitting under her desk for five months now. So today, I convinced her to go to Whole Foods with me so that we could pick up some food and make some sandwiches. And DAYUM were they good.
You butter the outside of the bread and then put whatever you want in there. My first sandwich had roast beef, provolone, and a little bit of horseradish. My second sandwich had turkey, pesto, sliced tomato, and fresh mozzarella. They were SO good and toasty and SO easy. For those of you who have kids, they will love it.
Seriously, it's only 20 bucks. Go get one. I'll wait...

I just use my Foreman Grill in the same way
1I have one that I haven't used in years... thanks for the reminder, I'll dust it off.
2I also enjoyed making french toast in them, you can stuff them with cream cheese and fruits or jam.

jessness---me too YUMMMMM
3sounds great!
4We actually had one of these but very rarely used it and eventually got rid of it. I guess we're kind of lame.
5I have one and use it often. I love it.
6We had one and used it for a little while, but I haven't pulled it out in probably a year.
Maybe when I'm feeling better I'll use it again.
7yeah, I use my Foreman Grill a lot for sandwiches- but that is cheap and worth a look!
8How's the clean up with this machine? I rarely use my Foreman Grill because I find it hard to clean.
9I have one in the cupboard too.... cream cheese and jam you say!!!
10this is the only kitchen appliance i used in college. here are some ideas:
-grilled cheese-try using butter flavored cooking sparay instead of butter to give it the taste of butter without the calories.
11-pepperoni, cheese, tomato sauce
-dip the bread in eggs and milk first, put some fruit in between the two slices to make a sandwich of french toast with fruit
-this one may sound weird-slice a hot dog and put it in between the bread with ketchup, or mustard if you prefer.
the only bad part about it is its hard to clean. does anyone know if there is one of these with removable plates to put in the dishwasher?
12They make great quesadillas and grilled cheese.
13We've had one of these for years. I pull it out occasionally to make apple pies or pizzas.
14ooh I want one! I saw an infomercial (sp) about those where this woman was making all kinds of things with it. I believe I wrote down the number, if I did I'll get the info for you. I think it was 20. for two of them!
15We used to have one that had removable plates you could put in the dishwasher so cleanup was easy. I think it was by Philips. It was lost in one of our many moves.
16What a great White Elephant gift. I'll have to remember that...
17I have one and it s great. We usually use it to make grilled cheese sandwiches.
18I may have to get one, those sandwiches sound awesome.

i have a george foreman grill with removable plates (4). one is a grill, one is a griddle, one is a waffle maker and the other is something else i can't remember.
i haven't used it in awhile. i get on kicks where i use it then i get bored.
right now i am on my grill pan. mine is similar to the one in the link except mine is silver and the grill grooves are in four sections instead of continuous. i lurve it and use it all the time. i got it so i could make the pioneer woman cooks ribeyes. now i use it for everything.
