It's getting nippy out over here in Scandinavia, so for my first post in my Kitchen Goddess suite I thought I'd share a yummy hot beverage.
Apple Drink with Vanilla Vodka
by Tina Nordstrom
5 tablespoons dark honey
Ca. 1 cup (2 dl) ABSOLUT VANILIA
2 pints (1 liter) unsweetened apple juice
5 whole cloves
1 vanilla pod
2 cinnamon sticks
This is how you do it
Put one tablespoon of honey into each of five wine glasses. Then add three tablespoons of ABSOLUT VANILIA into each glass. Bring the apple juice and the spices to a boil and let cool for a couple of minutes. Strain and divide it between the five glasses. Serve immediately.

4That's what I'm thinking Shiloh. I'm looking for a good Christmas Glogg one to post. I hope everyone will post some of their favorite recipes too.
5I need to go look for some recipes!
6This looks really good. Perfect for chilly fall nights.
7I'll definitely post some recipes.. I need to figure out how posting on suites works first though, lol.

you haven't had Irish Coffee designR? ooh baby, get some scotch from your irish relatives and that delicious cuban coffee from your other side of the family, a little bit of whipped cream on top and you're set! the perfect Cubish drink
10My fav hot alcohol beverage is a grasshopper... it's hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps. It tastes like a Girl Scout Cookie - thin mint. MMMMmmmm... Yummy.
11oohh, SPM and SJP...man those sound good. AA here I come LOL! (Don't mean to offend if you or someone you love has ever gone to AA, my husbnad has been sober for 8 years and hasn't touched a drink since)

I'm gonna have to try a Grasshopper. That sounds yummy.
13Ill have to keep this in mind for when I am no longer preg-er-nant hehe
14I'm not much of a drinker, but these sound good!
15That sounds delish! Squeaky and I were just discussing hot toddies! The grasshopper sounds great too. When it's cold out I usually just do irish cream in coffee or cocoa, but I'm definitely going to try some of these. YUM. Now I just need it to get a little colder down here!
16SPM, hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps are soooo good together. Have you had the frozen mixed drink girl scout cookie? I'm pretty sure that's what it's called, it's like a daiquiri that tastes like thin mints, MMMMMMM so good!!!!!!!!!!!
17omg, karma, that sounds delish too! I wonder what all is in it? I also like key lime pie martinis, complete with graham cracker crumbs around the rim. yummy.
18Mels, key lime pie martinis? You're killing me here that sounds awesome. I'm going to look and see if I can find the recipe for the girl scout cookie!
19this all sounds yummy..i'll have to pass this recipe on to my sister...i wish it really got really cold out here in so. cal!!
~*I heard your heartbeat, it took away my fear*~
20karma, i'll also try to find a recipe for the key lime pie martini. I've never made one myself, i've just had them at a restaurant, so i'll do a little research and post it if I find it. They are delish!
21Hahah, I just tried googling for the recipe and my comment on pop showed up! I've only had them in restaurants too (though I have experimented at home and tried to make something similar without a recipe), so I'm not sure which recipe it is but they all sound good.. here's what I've gotten so far:
**Girl Scout Cookie recipe**
1/2 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
1/2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1/2 oz peppermint schnapps
Pour ingredients into a stainless steel shaker over ice, and shake until completely cold. Strain into an old-fashioned glass, and serve.
**Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie recipe**
1 cup hot chocolate
1 oz white creme de menthe
Fill a mug with hot chocolate, add a shot of creme de menthe, stir and enjoy.
**Frozen Girl Scout recipe**
1 splash milk
1 1/2 oz green creme de menthe
3 scoops chocolate ice cream
Blend. Add more or less milk to get a shake consistency.
I never had the one with hot chocolate, and mine had bits of actual thin mints.. soooo good.
22YUMMMY!!! Thin mints rock my world. Not as much as Samoas...but they are a close second.
23Made these last night. Yumm-O
