My fave coffee shop sells this all the time and I fell in love with it. I've went thru millions of recipes and this is the best one. Enjoy!
1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
1 1/3 cups vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored gelatin mix
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
4 cups confectioners' sugar
Combine cake mix, gelatin mix, oil, eggs and orange juice. Pour into three 8 inch cake pans. Bake according to instructions on box. Allow to cool, then frost.
To make the frosting: In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add lime juice and confectioners sugar. Mix well.

If this is as good a Key Lime Pie, I may have to give it a go.
1I think it's better, because I don't even like Key Lime Pie. Let me know if you like it.
2OMG!! layla this sounds sooo good. I love some lemon pound cake with tea!! delish!!
3I know Teamy, isn't it D-VINE!
4I love sharing recipes. This is such a cute idea twinks.

5I did, and it sounds good. The sour cream is what makes me want to try it. Come to think of it maybe I will try it for dinner tonite.
6Thanks Layla. I was worried no one would be into it. Sweet C can you add the post here?
7My Meatloaf Recipe
Thu, 09/14/2006 - 12:15pm
Ok bear with me with this as I usually eyeball everything but here goes:
1 pound of ground beef
81 pound of ground pork
1 egg
1 cup of italian style bread crumbs
small chopped onion
1 heaping tablespoon of sour cream
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
1 squirt of deli mustard
1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix
dash of worschester sauce
few dashes of dried parsley flakes MeatloafMeatloaf
mix all ingrediants in a bowl and form a football shape. if it seems a little "wet" add more breadcrumbs. drizzle ketchup all over the top. line cookie sheet with foil add a lil oil to foil. bake at 350 for a good 45 minutes. remove from oven and let it settle for 10 minutes. slice and serve!!!!!!!
layla where are u that its still daytime its 245 am here
9Oh it's 2:45 here, I'm in GA. But I'm at work so I will get off at 6 and stay up. So basically my day has started.
10I work on a military base that my job unfort operates 24-7
11I'm addicted to sour cream so may have try this one as well.
12gotcha yes i would def give it a try!!
13Layla, my hubby does the same. He works at an AFB and works rotating 24/7 shifts. It sucks.
This cake sounds delish. It REALLY needs to cool down so I can start running again to counter the weight gain from all these new recipes! lol
14Oh wynter. gotta loves those shifts. my hubby is about to go to swings which is my least fave.
15gosh there really are alot of military wives on here. interesting
16I'm on a part-time military wife (he's in the air guard), but he works civil service for the federal government at an AFB.
17on = *only*
18oh i see. i think most of my friends on here have hubbs in the military. not that i have a ton of friends lol wynter where do u live again
19in Mississippi
20Woohoo for military wives.
21I love baking, but I'm not any good at it. The thing about baking is that you absolutely need the right tools, pans, and exact measurement. Since I don't have all that, I cant give it a good try.
22Sweet C - we tried your meatloaf recipe tonight, it was awesome! Hubbin (as JV says) and I both thought it was the most moist, tastiest meatloaf we've ever had!! (I only drizzled ketchup on 3/4 of it, because hubbin hates ketchup.)
23Oh! And my son LOVED it! (Better believe I'm grating in some carrots and green beans next time. LOL)
24Oh Gosh, when this showed up in Sugar Rush I thought this was suppose to be a picture of the Key Lime cake and I literally gasp. Like, ew. lol
But since its meatloaf yum!
25Ha ha ha, yah that would not be a good Key Lime Cake. LOL
26ahahahah glad u like it.. u can also double the recipe for meatloaf sandwiches the next day or add gravy and serve it over buttered noodles for a nice easy leftover meal!
27You guys will think Im exagerating, but in Spain..... Yes, I know I complain alot and that alot of my sentences start with "In Spain" LOL
But yes, they do not have ready mixes for baking in as many selection as they do in the US. I went to the biggest supermarket chain here and they only had Chocolate brownie mix, white cake mix and a whole bunch of flan mixes....THERES NOTHING TO BE FOUND HERE!!!!
28LOL Yay...I think most my sentences start with "In Finland" or end with "over here". I'm afraid I sound like that girl from American Pie "This one time at band camp..."
Anyway, I can't use any of these short cuts either and always have to make everything from scratch.
29LOL Twinkle Europeans are way different than americans.. here in Spain everything is made from scratch too
30Maybe that's why your countries are healthier than us Americans! lol
31I'm sure that's a big part of it Wynter
32LOL guys. My friends used to tease me..."this one time, on the ranch..." I guessed I talked about that summer a lot.
I don't think I've ever actually used a box cake mix. I'm a militant baker. LMAO.
33Oh yes, thats why europe is way healthy but way inconvenient. One more thing.... FAMILY SIZE does not exist, not even big pasta jars like Prego. everything is teeny tiny. If you have a big family here you would have to buys tons of small packages. nothing comes big absolutely nothing.
When you go out to dinner beverages and portions are tiny! LOL like half of what you get in the US
34I need to move to Europe then. I always get way too much food when I go out. I order off the kids menu whenever they'll let me. Well, sometimes.
35i need to move to europe too..for more reasons than one...although id take canada as an acceptable substitute
36LOL SX Canada
37i love canucks..
