WhiplashGirlchild's tantalizing combo burgers inspired me to post my killer, personally perfected burger recipe.
♥ 1 1/2 lbs 80% lean ground beef (We use 93% lean, or ground turkey for most things. But for this we live a little. It makes a difference.)
♥ 1/2 smallish onion, finely chopped
♥ 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
♥ 1/2 Tbs soy sauce
♥ 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
♥ 1 egg
♥ 1 envelope Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix
♥ 1 tsp minced garlic
♥ Nature's Seasoning (or salt) and pepper to taste
I make little bitty burgers, which reins the kids in some and I get 6 to 8 patties from this recipe. I, um, evenly size my burgers just about as well as I evenly distribute my muffin batter.
Audreystar took some delicious looking pictures of her Hamburger76 feast! Thanks, Aud!!

Mmm... what a good idea, using cheddar cheese and the soup mix!
I just remembered that I forgot to mention the magic ingredient in my boyfriend's burgers - which I suggested to the BF after I saw Paula Deen use it: BUTTER. I'll have to go update my blog.
1Butter.
Mmmm....

8i love worcestershire too! but i lurrrrrrrrrve when there are onions in the burgers. my dad makes killer burgers but he really only adds onions...but they are still the tastiest burgers i have ever had!

14You're funny! I can't wait to try this recipe! Usually people freak out if they see 'egg'.....egg in burgers!? With the sauces and stuff it just holds it together and ya can't taste the egg, I can't anyway! YUMMMMMMMMMM Thanks Jen*
15i made these tonight jenn and they turned out really yummy! i didn't have nature's seasonings so i put some hamburger seasoning i had in the cupboard. i put everything else on your list in it. i topped off each burger with some thick sharp cheddar cheese slices, mayo, bacon slices and a couple slices of onions. they were some mighty burgers by the time i finished. thanks for sharing this i am sure i will be fixing these in the future.
to you!! and the hubby thanks
you too.
