This is going to be more a review than recipe because honestly I pretty much did only what the can told me too. Except I did add a little spice here and there. So here goes....
Ingredients:
3 - 15.5 oz cans of Mild Bush's Best Chili Magic Chili Starter in Traditional Mild (The star of the show)
1 - 15.5 oz can of Brook's Mild Chili Beans (because I like my chili extra
)
1 - 14.5 oz can of Red Gold Diced Tomatoes (the Roasted Garlic & Onion kind)
1 - 15 oz can of Hunt's Tomato Sauce (I like soupy chili)
1 1/2 lb ground beef (I actually used about 1 3/4 pounds because my hubby likes him some chili with his beef
)
chili powder to taste ( I would say in total I probably shook the bottle about 10 times and yes like a polaroid picture)
Cincinnati Chili seasoning to taste (mmmm. Cincy chili
)
Shredded cheddar cheese to garnish (its cheesy)
Sour Cream to garnish (dollop o' daisy, ma'am)
Oyster crackers or Saltine crackers (I prefer oysters because I am lazy and I don't have to smoosh them. But if smooshing is your thing, then by all means use saltines)
Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain. In a large pot put all the canned items in and stir. Put the burner on medium/high heat to an almost boil. Put in ground beef and stir. Shake in some chili powder and Cincinnati chili seasoning. Use sparingly at first then taste it as it has cooked and add more until you get the perfect taste. Let simmer for 30 minutes. The longer it simmers the better it tastes. Enjoy....Garnish with cheese, sour cream and crackers.
Mix the beef, tomatoes and beans all together into a big pot.
Yum, Yum, Yum. Perfect for a cold winter night.
So here is my review...
for Bush's Best Chili Magic Chili Starter. When you just want chili and quick and it tastes like you slaved for hours!! Run don't walk to your nearest grocery and stock up on it!

Coast
I would love some chili right now!!
1Yum!
2That's so similar to mine, except I use more spices and don't use chili starter. What is it? A sauce? Would it save me from spicing and tomato pasting?
3it says it is a chili starter. it does have its own spices, sauce and beans. it says you only need to add meat and tomatoes.
4Huh, I'll have to look for it. I usually get two big cans of seasoned chili beans and a small can of Great Northerns for color.
5Wow that looks good! I'm weird and really only like chili from Zippy's in Hawaii. It doesn't even taste like what chili tastes like anywhere else in the world.
6What does it taste like?
7Well, sort of chili. But, really thin and...I don't know...?
It's just different than chili
I've had on the mainland. Most of which is kind of spicy for one thing and more tomato-y...and just more like actual chili is supposed to taste like. I think.
8I use Bush's chili starter every time I make chili!!!!!
man this looks good
aud!!!!!!!!! I use sour cream and frito lay corn chips.......sooooooooo good!!!
9I'm not a fan of chili either.. but that does look good
10See, let me tell you why I love KG; looking at that list of ingredients usually I'd be scared away, but add the step by step pictures and it shows how simple cooking can be!
11Wow, that sounded like a commercial.
I swear Twinks did not pay me to say that.
12More than a commercial Layla.. A freakin infomercial bwahahahaha
Just how easy it can be!
13This looks so good, Aud. Now can you send me all the ingredients so I can make it?
14That does look good. I've never seen the chili starter cans before - will have to look for them.
15That looks really friggin' tasty. I used a can of the Chili Magic in my chili, but it's added for beans and a bit more spice.
16oohhh yumm this looks delish
I think I have most of the ingredients in my Hurricane
Supplies bag!

Can you make sure the check clears this time Twinks? The last one didn't.
18Looks really yummy!! I love that Cincinnati Chili mix. I guess it's the cinnamon that makes it so unique.
19yes Lisa!! (cinnamon
)
20Twinkle don't bounce no checks.
21By the by, when I first read this blog title in my unreads I totally thought it was Dubyas chili recipe
I was like umm.. ok....................
22Hey, I forgot to mention, but Bush's HQ is in Knoxville. I pass it on my way to the big post office, and I always make fart noises. Yes, I am that immature.
23cinnamon is also the secret ingredient to any Italian dish! even the homemade pizza crust...ooh and dash it on boston booty roasts too! Just a leetle though.
24
Karma! Oh come on...I KNOW you want to curl up with Dubya and a big bowl of chili!
25ewwwwwww Jenn!!!!!!!
