Well once again, I am chatterblocked. But I got a little creative while waiting out my 15 minutes in the corner....
Every Christmas Eve, my family, neighbors and friends all make it by my parents house to share in the festivities of the season. Each year, we put out light snacks, h'orderves, finger foods and sweet things.
Usually we just order some trays from out favorite restruants and shoppes but sometimes we do the whole homemade thing. Well this year, I am off from work the Friday before all the week through so I have plenty of time on my hands.
I have been planning this out day by day as it gets closer. I'll call my mom and ask what she thinks about this type of bread or that type of cheese. I bought these adorable Christmas trays at TJ Maxx like way back in September and I will think up ways to fill them up.
Well, during my chatterblock tonight, I came to the final decisions. I am going to make Checkerboard Cheese Sandwiches, Rolled Olive Sandwiches, Creamy Vegetable Sandwiches and Cherry & Pineapple Cream Cheese Sandwiches. What do you think? I am posting the recipes below.
I have 4 trays so I was thinking I could put the Cherry Cream Cheese and Pineapple Cream Cheese Sandwiches on one tray and the other three on their own tray. Sound like plan? Give me some advice or ideas too!
