Hey everybody!
Time has been FLYING by, just yesterday I turned 16!
It was probably the best party, cause it was a SURPRISE party!
I came back from school, tired, walked in my room with a box of choc. chip cookies (hey it was my birthday, a girl has got to indulge), suddenly I just said OH MY GOD.
I saw a bunch of familiar back packs in my room and I couldn't believe it.
I took another step and said, who's there?
Then, FELIZ ANIVERSARIO (happy birthday in portuguese)
It was awesome, I was in TOTAL SHOCK, they planned it all so well!!!!!

Anyways, a month ago my mom was browsing the net and she came across a cake with the name "Is It Really Better Then Sex? Cake" by the wonderful Paula Deen.
I was like, OH MY GOD, I have GOT to have that cake for my birthday!
Not that I have any experience with sex, it's just that the name is like WHOA.

So my mom and our cook made it, what did I think?
The cake was heaven, beyond anything I've ever tasted!
It has GOT to be better than sex, so I name it the Better Than Sex Cake.
It is such a simple cake to make, so PLEASE do me a favor and try it out, tell me what you think!

Ingredients:

1 (18.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 (3.4-ounce) box French vanilla pudding, plus ingredients to prepare
1 1/2 cups heavy cream (normal whipping cream will do)
1 cup flaked, sweetened toasted coconut (mine was plain)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Prepare yellow cake mix as directed using a greased 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. While cake is baking, combine the pineapple and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Remove cake from oven and using a fork, pierce holes into cake. Pour pineapple mixture over hot cake and set aside.

Prepare pudding according to package directions. Spread pudding over cake and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Whip heavy cream and remaining sugar until stiff (CAREFUL TO NOT OVER WHIP, OR ELSE IT WILL LOSE IT'S FLUFFYNESS AND GET LIQUIDY). Cover top of cake with whipped cream and sprinkle toasted coconut on top.

To make the flavor more intense my mom cut the cake in half and filled it with some of the pineapple syrup and vanilla pudding. SO GOOD.
