Here's my favorite fudge recipe. I cannot eat it anymore (because it has got too much sugar for my system) but I can attest to the fact that it delicious as three years ago I made it and umm...ate all 4 pounds myself. Bad wackdoodle bad! Then I had to make another batch to give away as gifts but it's so easy it was no problem.
I hope this isn't breaking so copy-writing law because when I got the recipe from FoodNetwork year ago it was a pass-along recipe with no copywrite on it.

The recipe didn't belong to FoodNetwork or the American Century people either they just got it from the estate of the First Lady Mamie Eisenhower and thank goodness they did.

First Lady Mamie Eisenhower’s Million Dollar Fudge

Recipe courtesy of American Century Cookbook & Food Network Website

Ingredients

4 ½ cups sugar
A pinch of salt
2 Tablespoons butter
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
1 pint (1 jar) marshmallow cream (also called marshmallow fluff)
12 ounces semisweet chocolate (you can use chocolate chips!)
12 ounces of Baker's Brand German Sweet Chocolate

Instructions

In a heavy saucepan over medium heat bring the sugar, salt, butter and evaporated milk to a boil. Boil for 6 minutes.

Meanwhile, place the pecans, marshmallow fluff and chocolate in a large bowl (be sure the bowl is heat proof). Pour the boiled syrup over the chocolate mixture. Mix with heat proof utensil until chocolate is all melted.

Spray a 15 ½ by 10 ½ by 1 –inch jelly roll pan (aka a cookie pan with sides) with non-stick cooking spray and pour the fudge into the pan. Let harden at room temperature before cutting into 1-inch squares (then it can be placed in the refrigerator or freezer to speed the hardening process).

Yield: 4 pounds of fudge.
