I recently bought beautiful quail eggs at the market! I wanted to soft boil them and serve it with a salad! After a quick search on the net, it said soft boil should take 2 mins 45 sec! Well to my dismay they were hard boiled! Does anybody know how long you should boil them for a soft boil?

I have never run across these in the market, but would sure love to give them a try! A suggestion might be to boil one egg at a time in the same pan that you used initially. Drop the boiling time by 10 seconds until you get the firmness that you are after. Then "shock" each egg with an ice bath after removing from the stove top so that they don't continue to cook.
1Thanks fuzzles that is a great idea, I will give it a shot the next time I buy quail eggs!
2That is a good idea! Let us know if you figure it out.
