I got this for Christmas because I was sick of my little ghetto one-cup food processor.
Product Features
* 14-cup food processor with 450-watt motor reduces prep time in the kitchen
* Extra-large adjustable feed chute; 4 speeds plus pulse control; 4-position locking bowl
* Stainless-steel mixing/chopping blade, reversible slicer/shredder, bonus slicing disc, and spatula included
* In-bowl blade storage; dishwasher-safe bowl, lid, and blades for quick cleanup
* Measures approximately 14 by 10 by 18 inches; 1-year limited warranty
It works EXTREMELY well chopping most things, but it's too big to chop garlic, which is what I like to use it for most. The cloves of garlic just fall beneath the blades. So when I make pesto, I have to chop the garlic in my ghetto food processor and then add it to the good one.
My only other complaint is that it's HUGE and takes up a lot of space.
But, if you use a food processor a lot, I recommend this one because it chops and slices the hell out of everything, except garlic.
My boyfriend's parents bought it for me for $69.95 here

Whip, you dont use a garlic press? Or for pesto you prefer the garlic chopped?
1I don't like using a garlic press. It's so hard to clean that it's not worth it. Plus, I think my garlic press just sucks.
I prefer it chopped for pesto, anyway. Although when I was home sick the other day and watching Rachael Ray (gag) she grated the garlic into her dish, using a fine grater. That seemed easy to use and clean...
2Why does everyone hate Rachael Ray!! I love her!
3I'm also looking for a good food processor... I have one that's about to kick off...

4Layla, she is just over the top and too exaggerated for me. She has some great cooking ideas though, but shes just OTT in the personality department.
Whip, I see. The Zyliss garlic press is great and very easy to clean. Pretty sure Yum highlighted this gadget before. I suggest using it. But yes, grating garlic seems easy, clean, and very foodie-like!
5I used to hate garlic presses, the one I had pinched my hands almost every time and then was also a horrible effort to clean. I now have the one by Zyliss and it's great, doesn't pinch my hands and comes with a piece to clean it with.
6Yeah, I agree with Crispy. I used to like RR but now the sound of her voice just grates on my nerves. She's so loud and annoying, and I can't stand all her little lingo (EVOO, "sammies," "spoonula," "stoup," and so on).
I do have one of her cookbooks and I like it enough (although I don't love it).
Although I've only caught her talk show twice (and once, I was actually in the audience), she's less annoying on it than she is on any of her Food Network shows, in my opinion.
7Ooh, and it's cheap! Thanks, Yum!
8I can't stand rachel ray's voice! she sounds just like marge simpson imo. and yeah those evoo and yumm-o... ugh!

9I use another garlic press similar to zyliss and it's very convenient.

10Yumm-O! Delish! :shudder:
11And she was a really bad tipper on $40 a Day. As an ex-waitress and bartender, that personally offended me.
12rachel's not even 1% as cute as she thinks imo.

13Whip, I'm a bad tipper.
14Do you hate me too?
