Cinnamon Churros With Hot Chocolate Dipping SauceFrom Parties That Cook
INGREDIENTSChurros:
6 cups canola oil, for frying
1 3/4 cups water
2 sticks (1/2 pound) unsalted butter
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
1 large egg white
Plastic wrap
Cinnamon-Sugar Topping:
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Chocolate Sauce:
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup milk
2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
3 ounces Mexican chocolate, finely chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
DIRECTIONS
Prepare batter: In a frying pan, heat the oil to 375°F.
In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil with the butter and salt. Remove from heat.

you can also use chocolate and powered sugar for toppings if you dont care much for cinnamon
INGREDIENTS1 can biscuits
vegetable or canola oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
DIRECTIONSUse the top of a vanilla extract bottle or whatever you have to make small holes in each biscuit. Heat oil in a sauce pan, filled half way.

Lassie Loops (Doughnuts)From Donuts: An American Passion by John T. Edge
INGREDIENTS6 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups plus 2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp lard or shortening
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 gallon vegetable oil for frying
DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, 2 cups of the sugar, the salt, and baking powder. Rub in the lard or shortening with your fingertips until the mixture is pebbly [I didn't really achieve "pebbly" but it came out fine.] Set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs well, then beat in the milk.
